We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Client Technologies Technician based in Boca Raton, Florida. In this role, you will be the primary communicator for the project team, with a focus on IT solutions. You will be tasked with handling a variety of responsibilities, from software installation and support to troubleshooting and customer service.Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary line of communication for the project team, ensuring smooth operation and collaboration.• Configure and install software for IT user desktops and laptops, ensuring they are set up for optimal performance.• Provide installation and support for mobile devices, including laptops, Chromebooks, and similar devices.• Handle installation and support for Department and vendor network equipment, such as switches, Wireless Access Points (WAP), and more.• Conduct network cabling installations and terminations, ensuring reliable and secure connections.• Perform Personal Computer (PC) imaging, configuration, and installations, maintaining the functionality of both Department staff and inmate PCs.• Participate in the installation and rollout of new software packages, upgrades, and new desktop hardware, ensuring up-to-date and efficient systems.• Maintain desktop software and hardware, conducting regular checks and updates as needed.• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for both Department staff and inmate PCs, identifying and resolving problems swiftly.• Support a mobile workforce, providing necessary IT assistance and guidance.• Provide Tier 2 support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based Local Area Network (LAN) systems.• Document problems and resolutions, maintaining a record of issues and their solutions for future reference.• Conduct end-user training when applicable, ensuring users are equipped with the necessary knowledge to use their IT systems effectively.• Deliver quality customer service, addressing all user inquiries and concerns in a timely and detail oriented manner.• Participate in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages, contributing to the continuous improvement of our IT systems.• Implement prototypes, testing and refining new technology solutions.• Provide support for printers and peripherals, ensuring all devices are functioning correctly.• Support inmate education labs, including server and PC imaging, server and PC-based software installations and troubleshooting, group policy implementation, physical security audits, and inventories.
