Position Summary:
The Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Content Strategist with hands-on experience in the manufacturing, industrial, or engineering sectors. This role requires a strategic yet execution-focused content leader who understands the evolving search landscape and knows how to structure content for performance across traditional search engines, AI-powered discovery tools, and modern research behaviors.
The ideal candidate has a strong background translating complex technical concepts into clear, credible, and high-performing content that supports demand generation, sales enablement, and brand growth.
What You Will Do
Lead Content Strategy & Planning
- Own and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with business priorities, full-funnel marketing needs, and sales enablement initiatives
- Develop solution-oriented storytelling that connects the company’s products and capabilities to real customer challenges
- Build and manage an integrated content roadmap and editorial calendar across web, landing pages, social platforms, and sales-facing materials
- Partner with product marketing, demand generation, sales, and engineering teams to identify gaps and prioritize high-impact topics
- Establish messaging frameworks and content quality standards that ensure brand consistency across all channels
Create & Optimize Content for Search & AI Discovery
- Develop AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) content tailored to high-intent buyer and engineering questions
- Create and oversee the production of white papers, case studies, technical articles, landing pages, video scripts, and multimedia assets
- Structure content using SEO best practices, schema-aligned formats, and modular frameworks to improve visibility and AI citation
- Optimize content for performance across Google Search, AI assistants, and emerging discovery tools
- Experiment with new AI-powered search and distribution platforms to expand reach and engagement
Hands-On Content Development
- Write and edit content in-house to reduce reliance on external agencies
- Collaborate on written communications, video scripts, and digital experiences for both web and live environments
- Translate complex engineering and manufacturing concepts into digestible, compelling narratives that resonate with technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
Manufacturing or Engineering Industry Experience Required:
- 5–10 years of content strategy experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial B2B environments
- Proven ability to create content for technical, operational, or engineering-focused audiences
- Track record of building content strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and measurable business outcomes
- Strong understanding of how brand, creative, and media intersect across web, social, and earned channels
- Portfolio demonstrating demand-generating content tied to performance metrics
- Experience briefing, producing, and optimizing written and multimedia content
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into content improvements
- Expertise in writing and structuring content for both human readers and AI-driven systems
- Comfort using GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to support marketing workflows
- Excellent editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex technical topics
- Experience working in global or matrixed organizations
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing freelance writers or agency partners
- Background in journalism, technical writing, or UX writing
Salary : $120,000 - $125,000
