Responsibilities
- Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations
- Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
- Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Month-end Financial experience preferred
- Good understanding of Data Analytics
- Earlier work involving analytics
- Quality experience with cost accounting
- Practical knowledge of CPA
- Month-end Close Activities experience desired
- Proven knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements
- Proficiency in Perform Month-end
- Command of Month-end Journal Entries
- General familiarity with Power BI
- Wide ranging experience with KPI Reporting
