This role will involve working for an elite client within the communication systems industry, utilizing skills such as cost accounting, budget processes, aia billing, and full cycle accounting. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records in NetSuite, including creating project accounts, generating reports, and managing customer and vendor records.
- Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, including account coding, posting, reconciling discrepancies, and executing online bill payments.
- Conduct thorough job cost management and multistate sales tax calculations for AP/AR, along with preparing bank deposits and journal entries.
- Maintain comprehensive accounting schedules, such as deferred revenue and amortization, and ensure accuracy in financial documents using tools like Excel and NetSuite.
- Oversee collections by verifying documentation, making collection calls, negotiating payment terms, and processing liens, while also suggesting process improvements and performing additional administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting including job costing and aia billing.
- Previous experience with ERP/Accounting systems, highly preferable NetSuite experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and complex formulas), alongside proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities, including excellent customer service, troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, and the capacity to handle sensitive information discreetly.
