We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Business Analyst based in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing our digital business applications and systems, working closely with various technical and business stakeholders. This role will be pivotal in improving customer experience, enabling pricing rate changes, and enhancing invoice visibility.

Business Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)

Overview:

We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is critical for integrating our Point-of-Sale (POS) system with Salesforce to improve customer tracking and hierarchy. The manager is committed to long-term investments in this platform, making this position ideal for someone seeking stability and growth.



Scope of Work:

• Project Timeline: 2025-2026 (two-year integration project).
• Goal:
• Integrate the POS system with Salesforce to create a more comprehensive customer tracking system.
• Establish a customer hierarchy to prevent linking clients to incorrect contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a jack-of-all-trades capable of working across various tools and platforms.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from development teams to executive-level management.
• Create polished documentation tailored to the audience (e.g., technical details for developers, concise overviews for VPs).
• Collaborate in an Agile environment (Agile experience is a plus).
• Utilize tools like MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Visual Studio, Toad, GitHub, and Jira.
• Assist in using general development platform tools as needed.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, ideally in Industrial, Oil & Gas, or related industries.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong documentation skills with attention to grammar and clarity.
• Proactive, self-starter mindset.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, or similar tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
• Certification is not required but is a bonus.
