Financial Analyst
Our client in the Reading, PA area is looking for a Financial Analyst for a contract role. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations across three locations. Your primary responsibility will be to review manufacturing results against budgets, conduct financial analysis, and provide valuable insights to optimize performance. You will be responsible for creating reports, summarizing analysis findings, and presenting recommendations to the management team. This role will require a hybrid work arrangement, with up to 3 days per week working onsite in Reading, PA.
Responsibilities of Financial Analyst
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively to perform data analysis, utilizing VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, and Sum if's functions
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations
- Create comprehensive reports and presentations, summarizing analysis findings and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive cost efficiencies and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and accounting, to ensure accurate and timely financial data
- Review manufacturing results and compare them against established budgets

Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Financial Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within a manufacturing or operations-focused environment
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, and Sum if's
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
