Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Manage relationships with external partners like benefits vendors and technology suppliers.
- Oversee and manage HR team including recruitment staff and potentially payroll in the future.
- Proficiency in HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems and Paychex.
- Knowledge of construction industry.
- Strong ability in building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Competence to build and effectively manage an HR team.
- Experience with Employee Relations and holding a University Degree.
- Possess a university degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- Proven experience in the construction or contractor industry
- Profound knowledge and experience with HRIS - Human Resources Information Systems
- Familiarity with Paychex software or similar HR management systems
- Excellent understanding of employee relations and its impact on the workforce
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Proficient in labor law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to manage the recruitment and selection process
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster healthy employee relations.
