Inventory Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Portland, Tennessee. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth inventory operations while maintaining excellent relationships with customers and internal teams. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding products and account information.
• Prepare, process, and review customer orders and shipment documents to ensure accuracy.
• Provide product recommendations and prepare detailed quotes based on customer needs.
• Communicate unit pricing, shipping schedules, and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with production, shipping, warehouse, and accounting teams to trace and resolve delayed or missing shipments.
• Build strong relationships with external sales agencies and customers through open communication and exceptional service.
• Submit and compile credit or refund requests, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
• Address customer concerns by investigating issues, providing solutions, and following up to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist team members in achieving departmental goals by fostering a cooperative and supportive environment.
• Develop a thorough understanding of product lines to effectively meet customer needs and provide informed recommendations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related role.
• Proficiency in inventory tracking systems and asset management.
• Familiarity with Epicor ERP or similar systems is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to process and manage refund requests and credit memos.
• Experience with annual physical inventory procedures.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective customer interactions.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
