Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties.
- Prepare and execute detailed CAM reconciliations, working closely with the property management team to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Monitor property budgets and forecasts; perform variance analysis and communicate results to management.
- Review and approve property-related invoices and ensure prompt payment processing.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with property managers, asset managers, and other internal stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy in property accounting operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of property accounting experience, preferably with responsibility for a portfolio of properties.
- Hands-on experience with CAM reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar property management/accounting platforms) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and property accounting best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
