We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Telecommunications Technician to support network operations across Central Florida. This role requires strong hands-on experience with telecom equipment installation and power systems, along with the ability to travel between sites to support critical infrastructure work.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, remove, upgrade, and replace telecommunications equipment in Central Offices and remote facilitiesWork with AC/DC power systems, including battery plants, rectifiers, distribution bays, grounding, and power cablingPerform power cutovers, equipment turn-ups, and migrations per engineering documentationTroubleshoot equipment, power, circuit, and connectivity issuesRead and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manualsConduct site surveys and accurately document completed workFollow safety standards and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and NOC teamsTravel regularly throughout the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Florida Gulf Coast regionsQualifications2–4 years of telecommunications field experience, preferably in Central Office or carrier environmentsStrong knowledge of −48V DC power systems, AC systems, and groundingExperience installing network equipment such as switches, routers, transport gear, and legacy systemsFamiliarity with fiber, copper, and coax cabling and standard telecom test equipmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in dense equipment environmentsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationOSHA, DC Power, or manufacturer certifications are a plusWork EnvironmentField-based role with frequent travelAfter-hours, overnight, or weekend work may be required for cutovers or emergency supportWork performed in Central Offices, data centers, and similar technical facilities
