We are inviting applications for the role of a Prospect Researcher in the non-profit industry, to be based in Silver Spring, Maryland. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. You will be expected to research potential donors, maintain our CRM, and assist in developing fundraising strategies. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in the research field prospecting potential donors from individuals, corporations, and organizations.

Responsibilities:
• Investigating potential donors for the organization and compiling data in reports for senior leadership outreach
• Assisting in creating prospect profiles and conducting wealth screenings to help rate our current database
• Managing CRM and database, including building out files, removing duplicates, and running reports for clean up
• Identify 10-15 grants each month for potential outreach, aiming for grants valued at $50k or more
• Assisting with the development of fundraising strategies in cooperation with the Executive Director
• Using iWave as the primary research database to populate information, saving time and resources
• Initiating the organization's annual fund for the first time and segmenting the donor population into appropriate stewardship mixes
• Going out in the field to find and identify prospects for major gift level and leadership gift level
• Assisting in the transition from CRM - Civi to a new CRM system, including the build out process
• Taking ownership of work and demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit.
