We are working with a stable and growing organization that is adding to it's accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting-related tasks such as working within the GL, month end close, financial reporting, and budgeting. You will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring our financial data accuracy, adhering to compliance regulations, and guiding junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Help with quarterly and annual auditing procedures, including external audit support.
- Understand and adhere to all financial regulations and legislation.
- Conduct regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures and investments.
- Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
- Analyze financial data and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to work on financial forecasting and budgets.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to help them develop their skills.
- Implement innovative accounting processes and systems for improved efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an accountant, ideally a senior accountant for at least 3-5 years.
- Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and review.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
