Major responsibilities
- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
- Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
- Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Engage in various department-wide initiatives
- Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Requirements
- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
- Month end closings experience
- Proven knowledge of year end closings
- Quality experience with Consolidated Financial Statements
- Solid understanding of general ledger
- Proficiency in General Ledger System
- Well-founded grasp of Year-end Close
- Fixed Asset Accounting experience highly desired
- Practical knowledge of Financial Statement
- Wide ranging experience with financial statement preparation
- General familiarity with Year-end Financial Statements
- General ledger experience preferred
- Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
- Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
