Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In this role, you will support a multi-site service organization by managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate insights to drive business decisions. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while advancing your expertise in accounting practices.Responsibilities:• Manage the month-end close process to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial data.• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.• Consolidate financial results across multiple locations, eliminating intercompany transactions and identifying trends through variance analysis.• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online/Desktop, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all sites.• Implement best practices for accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and standards.• Leverage service industry experience to manage revenue recognition, client billing, and project-based accounting.• Collaborate with external auditors to address audit requests and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data.• Partner with business unit leaders to provide actionable financial insights and assist with budgeting and forecasting.• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.• Contribute to special projects such as financial system upgrades and process automation initiatives.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
