Job Duties and Responsibilities
St. John Paul II High School in Corpus Christi is seeking exceptional individuals for the position of Substitute Teacher for grades 9-12.

- Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior
- Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skill in pacing and differentiating instruction
- Skill in motivating and engaging students in the learning process
- Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format
- Skill in using job-appropriate technology
- Skill in critical thinking and planning
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be of the Christian faith
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- At least 21 years of age
- Submit to employment required screenings, criminal history background check, drug screening, and MVR
- Obtain certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to diocesan policies and procedures
