Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential homes. The Group Home Manager is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating resident care, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of assigned group home(s) to ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
- Supervise, train, and support direct care staff to maintain high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with HHSC and all licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor resident care plans and collaborate with nursing and case management teams.
- Conduct staff scheduling, approve timesheets, and assist with coverage as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports, medication logs, and care plans.
- Communicate with families, case managers, and external providers as appropriate.
- Manage household supplies, grocery budgets, and ensure all safety and maintenance checks are completed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in group home, residential care, or IDD services; prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HHSC regulations, ANE reporting, and documentation practices.
- CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Schedule & Pay:
- Full-time, flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends to meet operational needs.
