What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at Rutland City Public Schools?
Greater Rutland County Supervisory Union (GRCSU) is seeking an experienced and Vermont AOE licensed School Psychologist to join our team of School Psychologists and Educational Diagnosticians.
The School Psychologists will complete comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students' educational strengths and needs, and also to assist in determining special education eligibility. The psychologist should have a strong understanding of special education rules and regulations.
The psychologist will evaluate students, interpret evaluation findings, write evaluation reports, and provide recommendations for appropriate educational interventions. These evaluations may include assessments of cognitive functioning, educational achievement, social/emotional/behavioral functioning, adaptive functioning, executive functioning, memory, attention, interpretation of MTSS intervention/progress monitoring data, etc...
The School Psychologists must be able to work collaboratively with case managers, teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals, be able to organize and prioritize their schedule, and meet all compliance deadlines.
The School Psychologist shall be licensed as a psychologist by the State of Vermont Board of Psychological Examiners and by the Vermont Agency of Education as a School Psychologist.
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Masters degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
