As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support plans.
- Provide counseling and guidance to students, addressing social-emotional concerns and behavioral challenges.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based interventions and strategies to enhance students' learning and development.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise during student planning and review sessions.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in the development of behavior intervention plans.
- Monitor and track student progress, utilizing data to inform intervention effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to support students' well-being and provide appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, reports, and intervention plans.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills, including experience with a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
