Job Overview:
The Manager, Obstetrics & Gynecology, is responsible for the administration of the of the OBGYN department office. The manager represents Medical Education OBGYN both within Academic Affairs and to other internal/ external departments and institutions; plans regional educational and professional conferences; oversees physician team coverage; maintains educational, conference, and other related budgets and contracts for the department; ensures departmental compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policies and procedures, including those related to documentation, health, discipline and reimbursement; develops and coordinates physician and trainee onboarding; develops and implements ideas and programs to improve both the Residency Program and the functioning of the Department; and manages the day-to-day functioning of the OBGYN residency program within the parameters of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, hospital policies, and system metrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor s degree (e.g. management or social science) and ten years of office management experience or equivalent experience in administration and office management in an academic health care setting.
Preferred:
- C-TAGME certified (Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education)
- Excellent verbal, organizational, and communication skills
