Job Description

In this position, you will work with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive kidney care to patients with acute or chronic kidney failure. You will operate and monitor dialysis machines, assess patients before, during, and after treatments, manage complications such as low blood pressure or fluid imbalances, and ensure infection control measures are strictly followed.
You will also provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand the dialysis process, dietary restrictions, and long-term care plans. You will collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Manage nurse schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all units, addressing gaps due to absences or increased patient acuity.
- Resource Allocation: Assign nursing staff based on patient needs, acuity levels, and staff competencies to optimize care delivery.
- Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies such as patient crises, natural disasters, or security incidents, implementing appropriate protocols and coordinating with relevant departments.
- Communication: Serve as the liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration, ensuring effective information flow and addressing concerns promptly.
- Policy Enforcement: Uphold hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Patient Flow Coordination: Monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain optimal bed utilization and reduce bottlenecks in patient care services.
- Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, addressing clinical questions, facilitating professional development, and promoting a positive work environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current state RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire, and one year of experience preferred. ASLS certification is also preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
