This position exists to support all manufacturing operation and requirements through work order and inventory maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes MRP to determine monthly production requirements for critical resources and coordinates as required
- Plan and release work orders to support the MRP messages and production
- Schedules, coordinates, and expedites flow of work within or between departments to ensure a smooth flow of product
- Participate in morning meetings to communicate expedites, upcoming shipments, and any constraints effecting shipments
- Maintains running accounts of orders received, work completed, inventory, and coordinates with Customer Service on changing due dates
- Matches workload, staffing, and equipment capacity to existing inventory and identifies/resolves any major work order discrepancies
- Provides inputs to the Master Schedule to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
- Utilizes ERP-based planning tools to determine monthly production requirements for critical resources and advises Inventory Control
- Prepares production reports and maintains work order releases based on customer demand
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
- Confers with department supervisors to determine progress and communicate Document Change Orders
- Prepares outbound letters and packages for shipments
- Monitors shipments, tracks shipments, and works to resolve delayed and/or late shipments
- Schedules carrier pick-ups and maintains records of all outbound shipments
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Some college preferred
- APICS certification preferred
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement practices like Lean or Six Sigma (certification preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum four years’ experience in production coordination or in a material management capacity in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Experienced with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, i.e. Oracle and E1
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Windows XP, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong math aptitude
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk as well as visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify information
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and handle documents and products
- The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
