Rubbercraft (RCC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 3, who acts as a key contributor to the Manufacturing Engineering team and supports a variety of complex activities to increase manufacturing capabilities. Actively participates in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing environment. Directly impacts all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, as well as the sustaining and growth efforts of operations. We take pride in craftsmanship, collaboration, and a culture built on innovation and reliability.Job Accountabilities:Develop and transfer new products to production, ensuring smooth transition by analyzing requirements, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, and coordinating with equipment manufacturers.Establish and maintain labor standards to monitor direct/indirect labor utilization and machine performance.Prepare and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.Collaborate with NPI and design teams to develop extrusion dies and tooling for new products.Assure product and process capability through practical and analytical methods; establish standards; define new manufacturing process sequences. Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.Lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts, driving productivity improvements, scrap reduction, and waste elimination. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 6S and Lean Manufacturing.Interact with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability. Participate in design reviews and lead manufacturing process development through production implementation.Provide functional and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures and oversee implementation.Act as a professional resource, providing knowledge and expertise to colleagues.Coordinate cost-reduction initiatives and forecast labor and equipment requirements to ensure adequate capacity.This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.Job Specifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering requiredYears’ Experience: 5 years of relevant experience required Skills:Knowledge of rubber manufacturing principles, materials and processes such as compression/transfer molding, extrusion, injection molding, and tool designDemonstrated expertise with complex manufacturing engineering solutionsThorough knowledge of manufacturing while analyzing, evaluating and determining solutions to a variety of problemsProficient in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement practicesAbility to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks to completionProficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft GP MRP softwareCAD experience to design fixtures and jigs Benefits:At Rubbercraft, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
