One of our major womens' contemporary clients is currently seeking an Contemporary CAD Associate Designer.
Role has a designated 3 month engagement period with possibility of extension.
Location: On-site, 5 days/week
Schedule: Full-time
Pay Rate: $35-40/hour
Employment Type: 3 months possible extension
Start Date: ASAP
Overview
We are seeking an Associate Designer with strong CAD skills and contemporary experience.
This is a freelance opportunity for a detail-oriented, fast-paced designer who thrives in an in-office environment and can hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Create and update CADs for womens contemporary styles, including tops, bottoms, and sets
- Support the design team throughout the product development process
- Assist with colorways, print placement, and line sheets
- Revise designs based on internal and client feedback
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, technical design, and merchandising
- Ensure designs align with brand aesthetic, fit standards, and activewear performance needs
- Help manage seasonal timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in contemporary design
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (CADs required)
- Understanding of activewear construction, fabrics, and performance details
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work 5 days a week in-office
