Remote Development Assistant

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Development Assistant for a mission-driven, community-focused nonprofit organization advancing public engagement and social impact through creative and cultural work. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across California.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This temp-to-hire position plays a key role in donor stewardship, fundraising operations, and administrative support while helping strengthen long-term sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support donor stewardship activities, gift processing, and donor communications
• Maintain and update donor records, reports, and fundraising data within CRM systems
• Provide administrative support for development initiatives, campaigns, and reporting
• Collaborate with internal team members to support fundraising and engagement efforts
• Manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy, organization, and follow-through
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience supporting nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor engagement efforts
• Experience with Salesforce, MS Office Suite, Zoom, and Donor Search
• Clear, professional communication skills across written and verbal channels
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This role offers an hourly pay range of $38–$42 per hour. The organization provides client-issued equipment, a flexible remote work environment, and standard business hours.
