What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift position at SEDA North America?
The primary responsibilities for the Quality Inspector 2nd Shift is the daily tasks of verifying that our manufactured products meets the rigorous requirements of our customers, the Seda QMS (Quality Management System), and established Food Safety Standards in the industry. This person needs to be highly organized, computer proficient, software proficient and have excellent time management skills. As a key partner to operations, communication is essential for success in this role. This position will directly support the Quality Manager. The ideal candidate must be able to adhere to the first shift schedule of 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday.

1. Specific Duties
- Inspect products using gauges, scales, and other tools prior to shipment.
- Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
- Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
- Interact with source inspector as needed.
- Test incoming raw materials.
- Generate inspection records to meet Seda regulatory requirements.
- Perform line check inspection in the manufacturing areas.
- Non-conforming Material - Document product status, records and summarizes data.
- Support the investigation of claims and root cause analysis, including carrying out corrective actions.
- Maintains the “Quality Hold” area and insure prompted disposition is defined to realization.
- Maintain a 5S work environment.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in relevant continuous improvement programs
- Participation in training programs as identified by SEDA management
- Continuously improve self and department’s performance.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and supporting food safety and product quality.

3. Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted
- Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for 8-hour shift
- Comfortable working in noisy and loud environments
- Wear all required PPE and follow safety practices as instructed
