Position for hire: Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and hands-on Project Manager to lead and manage residential construction projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong project management experience who is also comfortable taking on administrative and operational tasks as we build our systems and team from the ground up.
The ideal candidate will be process-driven, resourceful, and capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This is more than a typical PM role — it’s a chance to help shape the workflows and culture of a growing organization.
Typical responsibilities of a project manager include but are not limited to:
- Oversee all phases of residential construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and close-out.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, building codes, safety standards, and internal quality controls.
- Anticipate and proactively resolve project issues, providing clear communication and solutions.
- Collaborate with company leadership to help implement scalable systems, processes, and documentation standards.
- Perform administrative functions related to project compliance, billing, and documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience managing residential construction projects (disaster recovery experience is a plus).
- Strong administrative and organizational skills — must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, scopes of work, and technical specifications.
- Ability to manage budgets, track costs, and prepare detailed reports.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — verbal and written.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, startup-like environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use or quickly learn project management and construction software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with government-funded construction or Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) programs.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and inspections.
- OSHA certification or other relevant construction safety training.
What We Offer
- A chance to grow with a startup construction firm from the ground up.
- Opportunities for leadership and process development.
- A collaborative, mission-driven environment committed to helping communities rebuild stronger.
