Description
The EVS Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of the Casino floor, managing, and training staff and organizing regular deep cleaning tasks. Delivering excellent Guest and Member experience according to the Silverton Style.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Assign daily cleaning duties and sections to Casino Porter during Pre-shift.
- Overseeing the cleanliness of all areas of the property by monitoring job tasks and employee performance, ensuring compliance of all Hotel and Department Policies, Procedures and Service Standards, coaching, developing and motivating staff.
- Inspect all areas of casino, public area, and offices to ensure cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to staff.
- Document all disciplinary actions and conversations in Silverton coaching log.
- Inventory and order all required cleaning supplies for use by Support Services.
- Carry the radio and respond promptly to requests.
- Must be knowledgeable in the proper use of commercial cleaning chemicals, vacuums, pan broom, mopping and proper sanitization of surfaces.
- Must be able to understand safety regulations.
- Keep open lines of communication between self and department Manager.
- Maintain confidentiality of Team Member information.
- Consistently walking and checking all assigned areas of responsibility for Silverton properties to ensure all cleaning standards are met and operations run smoothly.
- Perform the duties of a Custodian/Casino Porter, as needed.
- Lead by example and handle any problems that may arise.

Qualifications
Skills, Education & Other Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year previous supervisory experience required or equivalent time on the job in similar position.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
