General Summary of Job Duties
Primary: The Silverton Casino Hotel Front Desk Agent is to perform in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner, a combination of duties mainly related, but not limited to, check in and check out of guest, must be able to handle guest lines, answering phones and assisting with guest questions/complaints. Ideal candidates will have exceptional customer service skills and be able to multitask effectively. Candidates will also exhibit a professional yet personable attitude that our guest will always remember. General office experience and typing skills are required.
Secondary: As needed, handle all incoming reservation calls with efficiency and professionalism; be able to make reservations, cancellations, and answer questions on rates, hotel facilities, services, and special promotions, and help PBX assisting in telecommunications functions and in maintaining departmental logs. Front Desk agents are also responsible to provide service for the gift shop; responsibilities would include maintaining tobacco and some sundries. Also knowing how to make players club cards for existing and new members.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Values.
- Check for proper identification of a guest appearing to be under the age of 35 years old.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
- Responsible for checking in and out of guest.
- May resolve complaints, problems, or other situations.
- Communicate well with other departments to help assure the guest enjoy their stay
- Display an image of friendliness and accessibility to our guests
- Such other job related duties might be assigned by instruction from management.
- Always maintain a positive attitude.
- Always ready to help our guests and our team members.
- Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
- Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.

- 6 months Hotel Experience

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used
- Knowledge of Front desk Operations, and Guest Services, Gift Shop, Room Reservations, PBX and Players Club.
- Basic math and spelling skills
- Ability to demonstrate good organizational skills.
- This position requires sufficient experience, education and job knowledge to meet current business needs
