What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector – Circuit Card Assemblies position at SNI Companies?

This role involves performing visual inspections of solder and conformal coating on circuit card assemblies in accordance with industry standards IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001. Inspections will be based on provided instructions, technical drawings, checklists, and documentation, using basic measuring instruments (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, scales).
Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect circuit card assemblies for solder and conformal coating compliance
- Follow inspection operations, prescribed methods, and specification documents
- Use measuring tools and operate under a microscope for extended periods (up to 10 hours/day)
- Review and interpret drawings, parts lists, diagrams, and related technical documents
- Identify and report quality defects to manufacturing teams professionally
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in solder/visual inspection, or 3 years experience in manufacturing/soldering of electronic assemblies (if not in a quality role)
- Minimum 1 year experience with conformal coating processes
- Hands-on experience with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 inspection requirements
- Proficient in using basic computer systems for documentation and reference
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and maintain attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Additional Notes:
- This is a contract position
- All candidates must have previous IPC-610 and J-STD experience, as reflected in their resume
- Microscopic inspection is required for extended periods each shift
- Must be detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
