Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.

Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Greet members as they arrive at the restaurant & manage flow into the dining room.

Essential Functions

Leadership

• • Promotes a positive restaurant culture.

Service

• Review daily reservations and assign appropriate tables.
• Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name.
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service, including reservations for members in any of the Club’s F&B outlets and the ability to take to-go orders.
• Attends to members' special needs and requests.
• Knows and is able to communicate the menu items and daily specials.

Safety and Sanitation

• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.
• Maintain cleanliness at the host podium and surrounding areas.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Other Functions

• Help dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages.
• Observant to Guests' needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service (i.e., notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year related experience preferred.

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Food safety certification preferred.
• Alcoholic beverage certification preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach.
• Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.

Salary : $15 - $20
