Spa and Fitness Supervisor
Reports to: Assistant Spa and Fitness Director and Spa and Fitness Director
Supervises: Spa and Fitness Front Desk agents
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Ensures that Snowmass Club Spa & Fitness is an inviting place that is well-stocked, clean, and organized for members enjoyment. Performs customer service duties to register and admit members to Club facilities; acts as a cashier and guest service representative, while fulfilling basic public relations duties, answering the phone, email, and in-person inquiries, and performing general administrative tasks. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the Spa & Fitness department and overall Snowmass Club operations.
Essential Functions
Leadership
- Keeps the member-facing employees up to date on all club events
- Promotes a positive attitude for the department
- Conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner, which encourages like manners of conduct
Management
- Trains, cross-trains, and retrains all Front Desk Agents.
- Resolves member and guest problems efficiently and courteously. Informs Assistant Director and Director of difficult or sensitive inquiries and complaints that need to be addressed.
- Work side by side with our front-line employees setting the correct example of above and beyond customer service.
Availability
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to do one open and one close shift weekly
Professionalism/Member Interaction
- Knowledge of Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Greets members and guests of the Spa & Fitness areas in a friendly and personable manner; has them sign in; answers telephones and schedules all spa appointments and confirmations.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of membership and membership rules.
- Ability to follow up with all spa services to ensure a seamless experience for members and guests.
Other Functions
- Assists the Spa and Fitness Director and Assistant Spa and Fitness Director in initial and continued development of services within the Spa & Fitness Department.
- Promotes private lessons and massage/spa services.
- Assists with special events in other Club departments when necessary.
- Records member information for seminars and presentations.
- Attends all training sessions and regular staff meetings; research assigned projects and topics.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Spa and Fitness Director and Assistant Spa and Fitness Director.
Education and/or Experience
- High School degree or GED
- Customer Service Experience
Licenses and/or Special Requirements
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred or will obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Locker rooms are gender-specific.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- The environment of the fitness center is warm and humid.
- Able to lift, pull, or push 50 pounds.

Salary : $25 - $28
