What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Manager position at Sojo Industries?
The Inventory Manager is a leadership position in Sojos facility operations and plays a critical role ensuring inventory accuracy in the regional Hub; customer FEFO/FIFO requirements are being adhered to; and Sojos Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system are operating in synch and efficiently. In addition, this position will be responsible for inventory reporting to customers and internal Sojo departments. The Inventory Manager will sit alongside and report to the Regional Plant Director.
Responsibilities for the Inventory Manager include:
- Maintain accurate raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory counts within Sojos WMS
- Serve as site leader (local Subject Matter Expert) for WMS training and best practices
- Manage the cycle counting program by executing timely cycle counting, reconciliations and any necessary resolution to areas of weakness that are identified to meet accuracy goals
- Create audit reports to identify and correct discrepancies timely
- Develop, measure, and drive inventory control processes that promote short inventory turns and consistent FEFO/FIFO delivery
- Collaborate with other Inventory Managers to develop and drive best practices
- Manage, train, and develop staff, including inventory, line operators, forklift operators, and warehouse colleagues
Qualifications
- Must have at least 7 - 10 years of warehouse inventory experience preferably at a CPG company;
- 3 years of supervisory experience required
- Must be very detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability of succeeding in a matrix management environment
- Must have a positive attitude, with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution, the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Must have users knowledge of system software, preferably NETSUITE, RF SMART, and the aptitude to learn new software systems
