Job Responsibilities
Must be graduating in the current semester or recently graduated from an ABA-accredited law school.
Candidates interested in State Grand Jury will be sworn to SGJ secrecy and included in a random drug testing program.
Additional Requirements
DRUG SCREENING, CREDIT CHECKS, DELINQUENT TAX CHECKS, GRIEVANCE CHECKS, AND SLED BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE REQUIRED .

- Conduct legal research
- Prepare briefs, pleadings, memoranda, or other filings
- Assist with courtroom hearings and proceedings
- Review and summarize evidence and exhibits
- Assist junior law clerks by monitoring caseloads and providing guidance on tasks and assignments.

- Position may be required to travel and transport files.
- Must have an above-average understanding of computers, software, and technology ( including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and related software).
- Some overnight travel may be required, mainly when trials or hearings occur in counties throughout the State.
- Well organized with a demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and advocate effectively.
- Excellent legal research skills.
- Ability to interact with the public and officials courteously and respectfully.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and organizational functions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
