Compensation: $55,000–$75,000 base (DOE) Uncapped Commission
The Opportunity
Spencer Ogden’s New York office is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our established contract recruitment business, supporting clients across energy, infrastructure, and capital-intensive project markets in the US.
This role is suited to a proven contract recruiter who thrives in a delivery-driven environment, is confident owning key client relationships, and has a strong track record of building and maintaining recurring contract revenue.
Contract Markets We Cover (New York)
Our New York contract desk supports technically complex, project-based hiring across the following core markets:
- Energy & Power – renewables (wind, solar, energy storage), grid modernization, conventional power
- Infrastructure & Capital Projects – transportation, civil infrastructure, EPC-led programs
- Data Centers & Digital Infrastructure – design, build, commissioning, and operations
- Oil & Gas / Energy Transition – brownfield projects, maintenance, and transition-focused initiatives
- Industrial & Manufacturing Projects – plant expansions, process engineering, and large-scale buildouts
Clients include developers, owners, EPCs, and consultancies delivering long-term, high-value projects with ongoing contract hiring demand.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Account Ownership
- Manage and grow a portfolio of active contract clients within the New York market
- Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, project leaders, and procurement teams
- Identify and deliver repeat contract and project-based hiring requirements
- Drive account expansion through contractor redeployments, extensions, and new project wins
Market Leadership
- Maintain strong knowledge of market trends, contractor availability, and rate dynamics
- Contribute to desk strategy and support junior team members where appropriate
- Strengthen Spencer Ogden’s market presence through consistent, high-quality delivery
Required Experience
- 1 years’ experience in recruitment, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or technical markets
- Ideal- proven history of contract billing and account growth
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders
- Commercially astute with confidence negotiating rates and margins
- Highly organized with strong time management and pipeline discipline
