What are the responsibilities and job description for the Processing Operators position at SRT Aluminum?
SRT Aluminum is a secondary aluminum foundry. We have 3 electric furnaces and 2 gas remelt furnaces. We also process all of the scrap coming into our facility. We run 4 different processing lines.
We have openings for Operators in our scrap processing department.
The Processing Operator will operate crusher, centrifuge operations, Fork Truck, Skid Steer & Loader. Possibly moving trailers & Roll-Off containers.
Sign on Bonus! $500 after 90 days and an additional $500 after 6 months of employment!
The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Work in different areas of processing.
- Cleaning and maintain machinery and all work areas
- Process and sampling of raw materials
- Trouble shooting and improving process
- Using skid steer, fork truck & loader
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and policies of the company.
- Processing department, responsible for cleaning machines, conveyors, floors, walls, trailers, etc.
- Follow directions as may be given by the Processing Supervisor and Top Management.
- Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
Physical Demands:
Operator must be able to carry 50lbs, stand for long periods of time. The employee must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures of both heat and cold. Being able to operate mobile equipment, fork truck, skid steer & loader.
Position Requirements:
1. Ability to work and communicate well with others
2. Some administration skills are helpful.
3. Some mechanical aptitude, equipment familiarization, and general math is helpful.
4. Flexible to work different jobs and shifts as needed, Overtime (OT) as required.
5. Occasional moderate heavy lifting is required.
6. Attention to Detail
7. Ability to perform repetitive task for extended periods
8. Previous experience in similar environment
Minimum Education or Experience:
1. High School or G.E.D. preferred, not required.
2. Good work record.
