- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- Actively enrolled in the last quarter of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist Program. Possesses a valid temporary Arkansas State License. Upon graduation, the technician must obtain a permanent state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within the one year time limit allowed by the state.
- Experience
- Previous experience desirable but not necessary. Near completion of a certification or registry program is required. Should possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine. Must be able to exercise judgment and accept greater responsibility in therapeutic procedures based on patient observation.
- Physical
- Normal hospital environment. Normal corrected eyesight. Full range of hearing. Operates computer, IPPB, CPAP, BIPAP and other various respiratory equipment. Lifts and carries up to 30lbs. Pushes and pulls up to 75lbs. Frequent sitting, standing and walking.

- JOB SUMMARY
- Prepares treatment medications, administers prescribed treatments and performs various departmental procedures and duties all under general supervision.
