What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food and Beverage Event Server position at Starr Staffing LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, professional, and courteous food and beverage service to members and guests
- Set up and break down dining areas or banquet rooms according to event specifications
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, wine, and beverage offerings
- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of assigned stations before, during, and after service
- Follow all club policies and procedures regarding service standards and safety
- Assist with replenishing buffets or plated service during banquet events
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt service and guest satisfaction
- Handle member and guest requests or concerns in a courteous and efficient manner
- Accurately take and input orders into POS system and process payments when required
- Support fellow team members with side work, polishing silverware, and resetting tables
Qualifications:
- Prior serving or banquet experience preferred, especially in a private club, hotel, or upscale restaurant
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be at least 21 years of age
