Human Resources Analyst A, B or C
The Human Resource Analyst position is responsible for performing specialized duties of all facets of Human Resources for specified DOTD offices. While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with all applicable Louisiana and Civil Service laws, rules, and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.
AN IDEAL CANIDATE SHOULD POSESS THE FOLLLOWING COMPETENCIES:
Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas.
Focusing on Customers: The ability to serve the needs of those who support and/or rely on the services provided.
Making Accurate Judgments: The ability to form an opinion objectively and decisively based on relevant information and in accordance with established standards.
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Job Duties:
- Processes the full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete appointments, merit increases, promotions, transfers, separations, etc. Posts vacancy announcements
- Provides general, basic explanation of employee benefit programs and advises employees of various options available under some programs.
- Provides induction documents to new employees, providing guidance and a general overview of each document; follows up to ensure new employee timely completes all required forms.
- Reviews position descriptions for accuracy of organizational information. Contacts employees, supervisors, managers, etc. to elicit corrections or resolve minor conflicts in information presented.
- Provides assistance to agency personnel on routine or limited Civil Service rules, Federal and State laws, and department policies and procedures in assigned areas.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a probational appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees); or by detail to special duty.
Compensation:**Special Entrance Rate (SER)**
Human Resources Analyst A - $1,394.40/biweekly
Human Resources Analyst B - $1,491.20/biweekly
Human Resources Analyst C - $1,652.00/biweekly
** Progressive Premium Pay for hours actually worked**
0 months to less than 2 years - $1.00/hour
2 years to less than 4 years - $1.50/hour
4 years or greater - $2.00/hout
Career Progression Group (CPG): Human Resources Analyst A, Human Resources Analyst B or Human Resources Analyst C. The maximum salary for the Human Resources Analyst C is $84,302.00.
