This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workday. The DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) promotes employment and independence for persons with disabilities through customer partnership and community leadership.
This Vocational Evaluator position is located in the Central Region of the state. This position serves individuals referred from Rehabilitation Counselors in the unit office. The selected candidate provides comprehensive vocational evaluation assessments and evaluations to consumer with a range of disabilities, education levels, and work experience to assist with job planning and placement.
Job duties include:
• Conducting community-based vocational assessments
• Administering/scoring/interpreting an extensive variety of vocational interest,achievement, and aptitude tests
• Analyzing consumers' medical, psychological, socio-economic, vocational and educational information in the context of vocational planning
• Developing and administering a formal evaluation plan for each individual served
• Creating written reports which may be used for other agencies in determining disability benefits and compensation
• Gathering occupational resource information for better service deliverables
• Participating in multi-disciplinary teams and committees
• Collaborating with Business Relations Representatives for cohesive service delivery for achievement of a suitable vocational goal
• Partnering with consumers and their family members, employers, school personnel, and other community agencies/contacts
• Performing other duties as assigned
