Responsibilities of the Finance Program Coordinator:
Under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance and Administration performs routine procurement functions of a state agency, assists in the creation and maintenance of accounting records, and the verification and documentation of financial transactions for the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:- Reviews purchase requisitions and prepares shopping carts and / or purchase orders. Ensures the accurate documentation of all financial transactions and the timely payment and receipt of all money. Analyzes, prepares and distributes various financial and fiscal reports and statements for internal and external use. Ensures the accurate documentation of all financial transactions. Develops methods for recording and monitoring financial transactions and directs the preparation of financial reports.
- Receives and monitors all food payments by students. To include email/phone call reminder to families of payment due. Monitoring late payments and contacting families for payment arrearage. Responsible for credit card payment reports and training for families on payment options.
- Receives and monitors all summer program payments by students. To include email/phone call reminders to families of payment due. Monitoring late payments and contacting families for payment arrearage. Responsible for credit card payment reports and training for families on payment options.
- Processes transactions concerning all travel, the collection including required approvals for travel requests, booking for all hotel/airline travel with the assigned purchasing card close contact with the traveler to ensure travel confirmations, collection and processing for receipts for mileage, meals and other such expenses upon return of the traveler. Maintain log of all travel expenses by employee and department.
- Conducts special project duties as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and Administration to include but not limited to: audit review/reports; annual budget development, permanent improvement projects and state/federal grants. Serves as backup for the Procurement Specialist as needed.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
