Job Description: The Automation & Controls Engineer is responsible for equipment and process design, PLC and HMI software development, and aftermarket technical support of installed systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge of electrical design and techniques.
- Design and program PLC’s and HMI’s.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, GEFANUC, and Omron.
- Integrate PLC’s with automation including reciprocators, cartesian tables, robots, etc.
- • Experience with programming robots and other automation platforms.
- Create electrical diagrams and panel designs utilizing AutoCAD.
- Manage projects from sales hand off through production.
- Provide technical assistance to manufacturing during system fabrication and integration.
- Have knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, and CE.
- Provide start up assistance at customer facilities.
- Prepare sequence of operation and equipment documentation for end users.
- Provide technical support for installed products.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent.
- 3 years of successful related engineering experience.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of end users.
- Willingness to travel within a defined geographic region (up to 10%).
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
