SABG is hiring an Acquisition Specialist IV to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Ft Meade, Maryland.

 

JOB TITLE: Acquisition Specialist IV
CLEARANCE: Secret
LOCATION: Ft Meade, MD (TELEWORK)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

·       Provide subject matter expert acquisition support for DISA SD programs. To include DoD Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC), DoD Instruction 5000.02 and ACAT I through ACAT III level acquisition expertise, acquisition support, acquisition guidance, conduct independent research and analysis, and independently develop and provide recommendations in the drafting and/or review of acquisition documents.

·       Acquisition package documents may include: Market Research documents, Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought Notices, Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs), Severability Plans, 508 compliance documentation, GFP/GFE Justification and acquisition Lessons Learned documents.

·       Independently prepare and coordinate with the client for input and review, to ensure that the documentation meets the goals and objectives of the supported office and to ensure inherently governmental functions are reserved only for client personnel.

·       Apply knowledge of DoD Acquisition processes and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program/project managers and customers.

·       Works independently to formulate creative and innovative solutions.

 

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·       MA/ MS and 10 years’ experience in the DoD Acquisition Process.

·       Ten or more years’ experience in drafting or creating templates for all elements of acquisition as required by the Procurement Administrative Lead Time (PALT) Check List for contract actions. Examples include but are not limited to Acquisition Strategies/Plans, Market Research, Clinger-Cohen Act documentation, 508 Checklist, etc.

·       Experience in DoD 5000 Acquisition Life Cycle

·       Experience supporting DISA’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Services Development Directorate. Knowledgeable in the various programs, projects and business systems.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
