About the Job
A longstanding construction and infrastructure services company is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and month-end activities. This role reports directly to the Controller and sits on a lean, collaborative finance team where you’ll gain exposure to job costing, fixed assets, consolidations, and audit support.

What You’ll Do
- Lead key components of the month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations
- Perform bank recs and maintain supporting schedules (prepaids, deposits, etc.)
- Support AP workflows, including resolving exceptions flagged by the company’s AI invoice tool
- Oversee fixed asset schedules and monthly depreciation for equipment
- Handle labor allocation entries tied to active projects
- Assist with intercompany accounting and consolidations
- Administer the corporate credit card program and import activity into the accounting system
- Partner with the Controller on year-end audit preparation and ad-hoc financial projects
What You Bring
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience in a Senior Accounting or full-cycle accounting role
- Strong organization, accuracy, and comfort working with complex data sets
- Excel proficiency
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience in construction, utilities, or project-based environments is a plus
- Familiarity with Viewpoint, ProContractor, or similar systems is a bonus
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000–$80,000 annual salary (DOE)
