SUMMARY
Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional skills and providing exceptional service in a casual environment while fulfilling the Sundance guiding principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure dining room is set and ready for service to the Sundance standard with special attention to assigned section.
Complete designated opening and closing responsibilities.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance in compliance with health code.
Wear a complete, clean, designated, wrinkle free uniform and name tag.
Provide wine tool, pen, and bank for the shift.
Ensure proper sequence of service is completed for all guests.
Warmly greet each guest.
Inform of daily specials, signature dishes, and personal recommendations.
Enter orders in point of sale system using accurate table and seat numbers to ensure accurate delivery of food and beverage.
Ensure accuracy and quality of orders and food.
Collect payment, provide correct change, and obtain signatures as appropriate for payment type.
Submit documentation of all payment transactions and complete a nightly check out with Supervisor or Manager.
Exhibit exceptional job and product knowledge to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information.
Share the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.
Exhibit self-confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner.
Complete assigned cleaning responsibilities.
Support the recycling program.
Proficiently perform all job duties in a fast pace environment.
Exhibit a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees.
Exhibit knowledge and compliance of Utah liquor laws.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
All employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays)
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
No skate shoes or tennis shoes are allowed
All employees are required to wear dark blue jeans, brown leather shoes, brown belt, dark brown apron and the specified shirt.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least 2 years of service experience in a full service restaurant required. Experienced in service of wine, liquors, and beer desired. Prior experience with Point of Sale system desired. Prior experience with service banking and basic accounting skills desired.
TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Point of sale system proficiency.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
