Job Description
Company Overview : Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Concrete Finisher with successful and progressive experience in performing a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete.
Position Summary : The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 1 2 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher.
Responsibilities :
- Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification
- Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled bull float or powered float
- Cut joints / grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Monitor the wind, heat, and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete
Qualifications : ·
- Minimum of 1 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher is strongly preferred
- Experience working with sidewalks and / or curbs is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have good vision, stamina, good hand eye coordination, and an ability to estimate size and dimensions
- Skill in smoothing, finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments, and restoring concrete surfaces
- Required to perform task that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching
- Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
