ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including the Accounts Payable Team. This person will be responsible for month-end closing (journal entries, reconciliations, reports), and account analysis.

- Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports)
- Management reporting.
- Coordinate and complete internal and external audits.
- Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for quarterly audits.
- Responsible for Chart of Accounts maintenance in the general ledger and reconciliation system in coordination with corporate/shared service accounting teams.
- Prepare Mexico entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS requirements.
- Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
- Supervise accounts payable and accounting team.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
- Strong analytical skills and good work ethic
- Excellent attentiveness to detail
- Strong self-starter and ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Able to meet deadlines given with accurate and complete information.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- ERP implementation experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- QAD or another ERP experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- 5 or more years of accounting experience in a medium to large-sized organization
- Distribution industry experience is preferred.
- GAAP and IFRS experience are preferred
