GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Operates assigned enameling lines/ovens in a safe and efficient manner; to achieve and maintain high quality magnet wire manufacturing operations consistent with the control plan as well as with the plant and division goals. Assist in training new associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for proper set up and operation of assigned enamel lines.
Responsible for working in a safe and efficient manner. Maintains a safe workplace by anticipating, recognizing and reporting any potential workplace hazards, by attending required safety training and by adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
Responsible for compliance with environmental rules and standards and attending required training. Responsible for the quality of the finished product. Identifies problems in the enameling process and completes corrective action.
Responsible for reading, understanding, and following all instructions including but not limited to manufacturing instructions, work instructions and set up sheets.
Responsible for monitoring machine processes and making appropriate and timely adjustments.
Responsible for performing all team operations including but not limited to start ups, changeovers, welds.
Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the payoff area to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality bare wire to the enameling lines.
Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the take-up area to ensure all requirements are met and the reels are promptly and properly stripped and packed, including but not limited to understanding and adhering to proper package code, size and weight including minimums and maximums.
Responsible for compliance with all environmental policies, regulations, and requirements. Responsible for housekeeping.
Complete forms, checklists, audits, and other paperwork as required.
Other duties as assigned.
12 hour shifts, 8am-8pm on a rotating schedule.
