Description
- The Plant Manager is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating the work activities in the factory.
- This includes making the necessary resources for manufacturing products with quality and on-time delivery being key factors for customer satisfaction.
- Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of industrial organization with quality and on-time delivery a top priority.
- Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
- Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems and work towards continuous improvement in all areas.
- Complete required employee evaluations for subordinates in a timely manner in order to communicate successes, job-skill deficiencies, and expectations necessary for employment and advancement within the company.
- Hiring, training, and developing a qualified staff for the manufacture of products that meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Decisions and directives to reporting supervisors regarding disciplining or terminating personnel.
- Education: Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) and 2 years related experience or High School/GED with high level of management skills and 4 years of related experience.
- Must have a background in electronics manufacturing, with specific experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly.
- Understanding customer communication and dynamics, having a strong sense of urgency to meet their needs.
- High level of computer knowledge/experience using Microsoft Windows format to be able to adapt to other programs used for this position.
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
