Senior Platform Engineer – Azure (Federal Program)

You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing a secure, enterprise-grade Azure platform supporting critical systems. This is a hands-on senior role with strong architectural influence—ideal for someone who enjoys automation, Linux, and solving complex cloud challenges in regulated environments.
What You’ll Do

Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure Azure platforms using services such as AKS, Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure Storage

Architect solutions for resiliency, disaster recovery, and performance in hybrid or multi-cloud environments

Own and expand Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments

Lead Linux-based cloud environments, including performance tuning and troubleshooting

Manage certificate lifecycle and PKI (issuance, renewal, automation, monitoring)

Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, network security, and policy enforcement

Monitor and improve platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Defender for Cloud

Continuously optimize platform performance and cloud cost efficiency

Perform deep troubleshooting using logs, metrics, and root-cause analysis

Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, automation documentation, and runbooks

Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across engineering, security, and architecture teams
What You Bring
-
7 years of experience in cloud or platform engineering, including 3 years hands-on with Azure
-
Strong expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, and security services

Solid Linux experience in production cloud environments

Hands-on experience with AKS, containers, and Kubernetes operations

Proven experience managing certificates and PKI (lifecycle, automation, monitoring)

Strong background with Terraform, ARM templates, and DevOps pipelines
-
Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
-
Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins)

Experience supporting regulated or security-sensitive environments

Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical initiatives
