We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Process Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Manchester, NH surrounding area.
Seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their team in Manchester, New Hampshire. As a Process Engineer, you will be the go-to person for maintaining and enhancing performance in our unit operations. You will work closely with the VP of Operations and the Process Improvement Manager on both day-to-day production support and long-term projects aimed at boosting efficiency and quality. You will also collaborate with our team on exciting scale-up projects and key process changes that shape the future of our production.
The successful candidate will have an engineering background, in addition to process improvement experience. A large portion of their experience will include performing root cause analysis, communicating findings, implementing corrections, and providing training/communications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive standardization.
- Resolve product variation issues and implement actions to generate consistent product quality outcomes.
- Evaluate process operations and develop optimization opportunities.
- Work with operations personnel to provide training on updated procedures and actions throughout the MOC process.
- Perform data analysis to drive continuous improvement actions.
- Evaluate process safety challenges and develop procedures or controls to mitigate process hazards.
- Interact with vendors and contractors as necessary to achieve process improvement goals.
- Monitor ongoing production in a continuous operation environment.
- Act as technical decision-maker for new customer qualifications.
- Ensure formulations are feasible before production to avoid scrap and delays.
- Troubleshoot quality and process issues.
- Serve as escalation point for supervisors when deeper root-cause analysis is needed.
- Balance production flow, quality, and customer requirements.
- Support expansion and capacity growth initiatives.
- Support day-to-day manufacturing operations in a continuous production environment.
- Lead root cause analysis for quality, process, and production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate process performance and identify optimization and standardization opportunities.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for supervisors and operations teams.
- Assess the feasibility of new customer formulations prior to production to prevent scrap and delays.
- Analyze process data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training and communication related to updated procedures and management of change activities.
- Collaborate with operations leadership, process improvement, and R&D teams on scale-up and expansion projects.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Chemical engineering is strongly preferred.
- A Chemical Engineering degree is strongly preferred and effectively required.
- Plastic's background may work if paired with true manufacturing experience.
- 4 years of experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all departments and levels of the organization.
- Mid-career engineer - 3-10 years of experience.
- Hands-on manufacturing background in an industrial environment.
- Experience with compounding, extrusion, pelletizing, or similar chemical or plastics processes.
- Not a fit for candidates from biomed, medical devices, or clean-room manufacturing only.
- Must understand manufacturing realities and shop-floor operations.
- Ability to evaluate the feasibility of new formulations and customer requests before production begins.
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
